I only watched for about four seasons, but I always thought the biggest injustice I saw was Lee DeWyze winning over Crystal Bowersox. I've loved Crystal's post-Idol releases......I'll have to check out Lee's based on this post. Their performance together on 'duet night' of 'Falling Slowly' (RIP Glen) made me wish they'd do more tracks together post-show.
My favorite non-winner was third place finisher from Season One, Tamyra Gray, who really did a disapearing act. She sang this original song on the show and I was blown away. Then she wrote the second season "finale" song. I thought she could have had a bigger carreer. Very Anita Baker, 80-90's RnB, and perhaps that was it's downfall. But what a voice!
Glad you thought “Live Like We’re Dying” is excellent because I’ve always felt the same. And so representative of that era.
